Florida Federation of Garden Clubs wishes you All the Compliments of the Season. This month’s blog and vendor spotlight takes you into the wood with lush greenery, bark, moss, and some ‘natural’ sparkle. December’s team of wedding professionals created a truly inviting outdoor dining experience at the edges of our south lawn. Here’s what our event expert had to say about planning a winter wedding:
“Having a winter wedding can be so romantic! Many couples worry that a winter wedding means icy cold blues or traditional holiday color palettes. For this winter tablescape, we were inspired by the colors of mother nature. We used natural elements like greenery and birch and paired it with the warm glow of candle light. Whether you have it in the cozy indoors or under the stars, it’ll be sure to be a romantic wedding!” –Bonnie Dutka, Mobella Events
Romance in the garden – even in winter. The natural theme was accomplished with the use of 72″ dining tables covered with natural toned, linen look poly – much softer than burlap and more wrinkle resistant than natural fiber – provided by Connie Duglin Specialty Linen. Custom designed invitations by Dogwood Blossom Stationary feature natural pulp paper with leaf motif on crisp ivory card stock. These are delicately placed with cinnamon sticks and evergreen onto olive-gold glass chargers provided, along with the beautiful French chairs, by A Chair Affair. Molly Lohman of Cloud 9 Wedding Flowers brought it all together with gorgeous birch bark centerpieces and candles. Mixes of Chrysanthemum, Dusty Miller, bright green foliage and moss, and even glass leaves give the natural setting a sophisticated and romantic ambiance. A winter wedding wouldn’t be complete without a bit of sparkle, but you don’t have to bring in snow to achieve seasonal glitter. Charisse Santoro of Swarovski Touchstone Crystal added bridal bling – look closely at the table top and you’ll see multi-stoned bracelets and elegant drop earrings and pendants. A unique and elegant setting is complimented by an outstanding meal, artfully presented. Trust your special day to John Michael for a worry-free – and delicious – experience. All of this natural beauty and creative design deserved to be captured by one of the best in the business. Thank you to Rachel V for all the gorgeous – and inspiring – images.
Clearly, December’s team, comprised of some of our favorite vendors, really hit the mark in combining rustic and elegant elements to create a romantic winter wedding wonderland.
