What is the capacity of the venue?  99 persons. When planning your event, don’t forget to count catering staff, DJ, Officiant or anyone else who will be in the room. Per order of the Fire Marshall, the maximum capacity (head count) on prperty is 99 persons.

How many events take place at one time? One. We only reserve one wedding per day. Once on property, it’s exclusively your space for the day (8 hours). So, if you have inclement weather, or any other change in plan, you can feel secure that the all of the venue spaces will be available to you for ‘plan B’.

I want to have my wedding in your gardens, but what if it rains? One of the many reasons to choose our venue is that we offer you a back up plan. You can bring your celebration completely indoors if the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Are there specific hours?  Yes. The standard rental is an 8 hour block of time from either 10AM to 6PM or  2PM to 10PM. Sunday, 2 to 10PM only. For events of a shorter duration, see the Rental Rates page for available hours and pricing.

Can I have my vendors set up the day before my wedding? The rental period of 8 hours provides sufficient time for set up and break down on the day of your event.

Can I have my ceremony and reception there? Absolutely – no need to drive from place to place. We have many spaces suitable for ceremony, the most popular of which is the white wood arbor on the upper patio. Dining and buffet tables are available for use if you choose and you’re responsible for set up and storage when done. We do not provide chairs. Dining tables are 60″ round and seat up to 8 persons.

Can I select a caterer or do you provide?  We have an extensive preferred list of licensed, insured caterers, and other vendors, for you to choose from.  A caterer from our approved list is required, other vendors on our list are recommended, but not required. Catering staff must remain on site during your event. Drop off, take out, and food trucks are not allowed .  See the Favorite Vendors page which lists vendors in several categories that we have had experience with and are proud to recommend.

Does your venue have any special restrictions?  Yes, we’re a non-smoking property indoors and out per order of the City of Winter Park. We also don’t allow any items that would be harmful to the habitat in the gardens, such as silk petals, rice, seeds, etc. Real flower petals and bubbles are allowed.
